Beautiful setting. Nice views. Private. The staff was wonderful and wanted us to have a nice time. Pool is fantastic. Lounge pillows are very comfy.
Although there was room service, and a private outdoor small dining area, we would have liked to dine in a bit more public setting. Being secluded the entire stay can be a bit boring after 3 days. The food was good, but not great, and a bit overpriced for the stay. We paid as much for the food as we did for the room each day. Also, the menu is not varied and does not change. We were upgraded to an available executive suite, which was fantastic. But, to inform those that want info on the junior suite, the shower was a hand held sprayer just next to the toilet...very European, but still, for the price, a shower stall is expected. Had I known that there was no bath or real shower stall, I may not have booked the room.
Great view over the caldera...breakfast in your private balcony with that amazing view in front of you...
The breakfast options is a bit limited, but everything was very good always, and like I said the opportunity to have the breakfast on your room, quitely, with nothing but the sea in front of you, is priceless... another point, the hotel is in one extreme of the island, so dont expect to be in the center, but everything is at 10 to 15 min by car...
We did a lot of research and gave great consideration to which hotel to choose in Santorini for our anniversary. So we expected nothing less than perfection when we booked Astarte Suites. Still though we were simply amazed at how much Astarte exceeded our very high expectations. The property is gorgeous, private, well maintained and exotic. We arrived off season but were blown away with the service from the hotel manager no less. The chef provided extraordinary authentic Greek cuisine accompanied by fabulous Santorini wine, all with a background of the most breathtaking views. Overall, this was the best holiday I have ever been on. I travel a lot with work and have stayed in some of the best hotels across the world, but this truly topped them all. I almost cried when I had to come home. The hotel is not cheap, but I think is great value for money since you gain a lifetime experience.
The excellent service and the location made our stay a dream.
The weather was a bit cloudy but the view was still breathtaking. We actually new that in October the weather in Greece may change but we adore Santorini even without sun! The island looks amazing all the time!
The staff was absolutely amazing, and it felt like a very warm atmosphere. It's a family run boutique hotel and they take special care in providing as much professionalism and relaxation to their guests as possible.
Lunch choices could have been a bit more broad.
The privacity, the localization, the staff.
The hotel wants you to pay your stay as soon as you arrive, and it's no very pleasent. Anywhere you want to go you need to rent a car. The food is a litlle to much expensive.
If there is one thing that people expect in Greece then this is hospitality. If you also add to that luxury and the beauty of Santorini you get Astarte Suites. The warmth of the personel and the owners made us relax and enjoy the comfort and beauty of the hotel and the island imediatelly.Very helpfull and polite staff with a big and above all true smile.
Beautiful, stunning, location, design and colours of the hotel were great, the views were spectacular, and the family who ran the hotel were both incredibly helpful and informative. The pool and ambient music also very pleasant.
Not really: but it was Greece and maybe some of the junior staff don't "get it" about boutique retreats. (Also, they may simply not have understood any English)!
The view , privacy and in room jacuzzi. Surprise pastry
Breakfast has no variation . Wish it had more things to choose from breakfast
awsome service ,delicios food ,quiet place for the best relax vacation
My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary and a Law School Graduation and having traveled the world I must say that the family who runs and operates the hotel is nothing short of amazing. A truly wonderful time and we look forward to many returns. This is the best location on the island with the best views and the best services you'll find in Santorini. A must stay place to put on your list.
Excellent hotel! The design, sea view, service and everything! Love this hotel! We would like to be there again!
